April 23
This event will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Conservatory of Fine Arts, 930 South Street. The course is $145 per person and includes supplies and instruction. Tuesday nights will feature instruction and Thursday nights will be for studio time and creating. For more information call 601-636-0542.

This event will begin at 12:30 pm at the Myrlie Evers Civil Rights Park, 1422 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The grand opening will feature a special guest speaker, Reena Evers. This event will be from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at the Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation, 1302 Adams St. The cost is $5 per lesson or $10 for both. For more information, call 601-631-2997.
April 30
This event will begin at 8:00 am at 920 South St. Local businesses/organizations and individuals volunteer at one of the 16 partner agencies supported by United Way. Projects include things such as labeling books to planting gardens. Each partner agency will submit a project, and the volunteers are then assigned the project submitted.
